Holland Shipyards Group is proud to announce that it has again been contracted for the building of two additional IJveer ferries of the 60-series for GVB Amsterdam.
The design has proven to be a success, significantly reducing consumption and emissions, leaving the GVB ready for a greener future in line with the City of Amsterdam’s 2020 climate goals.
After having sucesfully delivered IJveer 60 and IJveer 61, Holland Shipyards won a follow-up tender for additional ferries of which said two ferries will be the first to be delivered.
The construction of the first ferry, which will be named IJveer 62, has already started and preparations for the second are currently being made. Both ferries are scheduled to be delivered in 2018.
